SPECIALIZED RESTORATION & INSURANCE SERVICE

Project Background

When we first received the call, a family of four had just experienced a devastating kitchen fire that spread smoke and water damage throughout their two-story home. They were overwhelmed and unsure how to deal with both the restoration process and their insurance claim. From the very beginning, we knew our role wasn’t just to rebuild a house, it was to guide them through one of the hardest moments of their lives.

Rapid Response & Assessment

We arrived on-site within two hours of their call. Our first priority was safety, shutting down the electrical system, securing the structure, and making sure the family had what they needed to stay safe. We used thermal imaging cameras and air-quality sensors to map out how far the smoke and water damage had spread. This gave us a clear roadmap for the restoration.

The Restoration Work

We started by carefully removing all unsalvageable materials, burned framing, charred drywall, and damaged flooring. To tackle the smoke odor, we deployed HEPA air scrubbers and ozone machines. At the same time, we installed advanced drying equipment to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth.

Handling the Insurance Process

We knew the insurance claim could make or break this project for the family. That’s why we took the lead, preparing a detailed Xactimate report with photo documentation and line-item cost estimates. We worked directly with the insurance adjuster, making sure not just the obvious fire damage was covered, but also hidden issues like smoke penetration in the attic and moisture behind the walls. In the end, we secured coverage for 92% of the project costs.

Final Checks & Handover

Before handing the home back, we conducted a full walkthrough with both the family and their insurance adjuster. Third-party air quality tests confirmed the property met residential health standards. We wrapped up by providing the family with warranties on all work completed.
